How can I book a session? 

Booking a session with Unique Minds Consulting is simple. You can book online through our website or contact us directly via email at uniquemindsconsulting@gmail.com.  We offer both in-person
and online sessions to accommodate your needs.  

Can you see my child before meeting with me? 

No, if you are booking a session for your child, we require you to book an initial parent consultation.  This will allow us to speak openly and set goals prior to me meeting your child. No child/ren are to attend this session. If divorced or separated, both parents must sign off on the Parent Consent form that will be emailed to you prior to our session. 

Where are we located? 

Unique Minds Consulting main office is located in at 30475 Cardinal Ave, Unit 220 B, Abbotsford, BC.  We are easily accessible from the Highway, making it convenient for clients from the Fraser Valley and surrounding areas. We also have an office space in Langley, BC, which is only available on Fridays. 

What payment methods do we accept? 

We accept various payment methods including credit cards and e-transfers.  A credit card is required to add to our Jane booking system.  If you do not have one, please reach out. 
We also accept some Third-Party Funding, HCOS, Home schooling programs as well as offer a sliding scale.  For a sliding scale, this must be pre-approved and documentation may be needed. 

What types of counselling services do we offer? 

At Unique Minds Consulting, we offer a wide range of counselling services which include: 
Play Therapy, Individual Counselling, Family Counselling, Child and Youth Therapy, Grief Therapy, Behavioural Consultation/Parenting Support, Advocacy and Neurofeedback. 

Is there an age limit? 

At Unique Minds Consulting, we see people aged 4 and up. 

Will my extended health benefits cover the cost of counselling services? 

Most extended health benefits will cover counselling services.  At Unique Minds Consulting, we do NOT direct bill.  You will need to submit your receipt for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company to check to see if you are covered for a MPCC/RPC ( Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling or Registered Professional Counsellor) with the CPCA (Canadian Professional Counsellors Association). 

What in the length and cost of a counselling session? 

The cost varies on the type of session you're coming in for, but ranges from $160 to $180 per session. Please see "Services" page.  A session last for 50 mins. 

Cancellation policy and rescheduling appointments. 

If you need to reschedule an appointment, the Jane system will not let you reschedule if less than 48 hours.  Please reach out to Unique Minds Consulting directly at uniquemindsconsulting@gmail.com.
Late cancellations and or No-shows are subject to a full charge.  If you are sick or there has been an emergency, please reach out.
